Mille-Feuilles

Hi everyone, today we'll make a French pastry

Preparation: 35 minutes (excluding puff pastry) Cooking time: 40 minutes

Serves 6

Ingredients:

- 3 egg yolks

- 30g powdered sugar

- 35g of flour

- 50g powdered sugar

- 1 block of puff pastry of 400g (recipe on my website)

- 25cl of cold full cream

- 25cl of milk

- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar

Preparation:

  1. Prepare the custard cream: recipe on my site and put it aside

  2. Preheat the oven to 210°C. Roll out the pastry to a large rectangle of 3mm thickness. Place it on the baking sheet and put it in the oven.

  3. After 10 minutes, lower the temperature to 180°C and sprinkle the dough with powdered sugar. Place a sheet of parchment paper on top, then a second baking sheet to prevent the dough from puffing up; let it cook for 20 to 25 minutes.

  4. Take the dough out of the oven and let it cool. Cut out a rectangle or square of cardboard and use it as a guide to cut out three rectangles in the dough with a bread knife.

  5. Whip the cream with the vanilla sugar to a whipped cream.

  6. Gently fold it into the pastry cream and keep it cool until the last moment.

  7. Assemble the cake at the last moment: place a rectangle of dough on a board, then cover with half of the pastry cream.

  8. Repeat these operations, then finish with the last rectangle of dough.

  9. Decorate with powdered sugar and enjoy!

Here's how it turned out:

Hope you enjoyed it!!!

See you!

Alex
